Riddle me this...
A riddle thread. Hopefully there are more people here than just myself that enjoy riddles. undefined
First, a few rules.
1. No googling. I know, unenforceable, so we'll use the honor system.
2. First person to answer correctly gets to pose the next riddle, or pass. If passed, the previous person poses the next riddle
3. Wait for the person posing the riddle to verify your answer is correct. Not all obvious answers are the correct answer.
4. If a riddle goes unanswered, give the answer after 24 hours or so and pose a new one.
5. If a riddle gets answered correctly, but that person neither passes or poses a new riddle, the default is a pass after a reasonable time (say, 4-6 hours)
6. If there are no responses after more than 24 hours, anyone can pose the next riddle.
To start:
I have two arms, but fingers none.
I have two feet, but cannot run.
I carry well, but I have found,
I carry best with my feet off the ground.
What am I?

Hmm. I really have no idea. But I'm getting some sort of gymnasium theme here. Or thinking of a bridge (dunno why that one).
I'm guessing there's gonna be no clues either! Haha.
It's times like this that I wish I wasn't an aphantasiac.

Maybe a carpenter's 4-foot folding ruler?
It has two "arms" but no fingers.
Each arm measures one foot long = "two feet".
You can carry it, but not if it's sitting on the ground.

A chair has two arms and no fingers, but most have four feet, Maybe a rocker could be thought of as has having just two feet? But "carry best with my feet off ground"? Got to come back to it.

That was my first thought too. But in addition to the 4 feet some of them fancy chairs have claw fingered-arms as well.

A chair with two arms and two feet. Or is this a stretch of the word "feet"?

Now if the damned thing could just carry things.

I guess it does "carry" a human being. But off the ground? Dunno.

Too many double entendres methinks. Look to the double entendres. ... Oh, and hints are good when everyone is stumped instead of just giving up after 24 hours, YeOldeBastard. They contribute to the cleverness of the riddle.
