Most people don't remember careful political arguments, don't read political philosophy books and don't even read the 40 pages resumé of the various political party platform during election time. People consume, remember and quote memes and bumper stickers. Memes and bumper stickers are thus more useful and most important tools for political messaging. If you don't turn a critical eye on the most important tools of political communication and propaganda, you will never understand the political climate or be able to convince anybody to rally to your side.
